Selen Erçelik

Clinical Psychologist Selen Erçelik graduated from the Department of Guidance and Psychological Counselling at Yeditepe University’s Faculty of Education in 2024 and completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology at the same university in 2025 as part of a double degree programme. In 2026, she completed her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Istanbul Kent University, specialising in the field of clinical psychology. She continues to pursue her academic studies at an international level and is currently undertaking a Master’s degree in Psychology at the University of Derby in the United Kingdom. Throughout her professional development, she has participated in a range of training programmes, seminars, and advanced clinical studies grounded in psychodynamic and psychoanalytic theory. In addition, she has undertaken training in addiction psychology, creative arts therapies, clinical interviewing techniques, and psychotherapy practice, with the aim of developing her theoretical knowledge from a multidisciplinary perspective. Her particular areas of interest include trauma, early life experiences, and their impact on psychological development, and she continues to pursue further professional training in these areas. Through internships undertaken at various institutions, she has gained clinical experience and has had the opportunity to integrate her theoretical knowledge with clinical observation and practice through supervised clinical work. She currently works within a psychodynamic psychotherapy framework, focusing particularly on the impact of early life experiences on the development of the self, interpersonal relationship patterns, attachment processes, and emotional regulation. She is currently in active clinical practice and continues her professional development through regular supervision and advanced training.
